ENCORE SECOND HALF
(50+ GROUP)

In many sporting events, the game is divided into two halves. The first half can be very rough. We might feel that there is no hope and that we will lose. Then there is half-time. That is when the coach has the opportunity to change the course of the game with his encouraging words: building up the team and preparing them for the Second Half. When the team re-enters the field, they are ready to go out and give it their all!

We feel life works the same way. We have incredible opportunities to work for the Lord when we mature and enter the second half. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, but when I became a man, I put away childish things. As mature believers, we need to set our sights on the goal set before us. God is not finished with us yet! May we all join with Paul when he said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
